Printing for independent authors
Print-on-Demand, Print-to-Order, and Short Run Printing
Print-on-Demand (POD) is a print and distribution solution that enables authors to have their books printed and shipped as individual orders are made. Print-to-Order (PTO) is bascially the same as POD, one book is produced at a time to fill a specific order (website orders). At BookPrintNow, we specialize in short runs of 50-500 books using the same technology solutions that create true POD and PTO.
Long run printing
Printing has evolved from traditional printing (offset presses) for all book printing, to shorter and short runs (digital presses), to a true print-on-demand printing (as listed above). Long run print runs today, generally happen with orders of 500 books or more.
WE Go Direct to the Printing Source
BookPrintNow maintains strategic alliances with multiple, professional book printers to secure the best possible print prices for you. Not all printers are created equal. It is important to understand that even though a printer says they can print a book, or even specific types of books, it doesn’t mean they are the best fit.
Some printers do not have the in-house capabilities to produce the type of book that you are requesting. In these cases, certain aspects of the print job are “farmed out” to other companies and this increases the costs.
At BookPrintNow, we put your book with the RIGHT printer, who can handle the project from start to finish, and give you the best costs.
